Prius was recalled on 21 June 2013 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/0741/13. Injuries risk reported by Greece. As a result of a problem with the brake pressure accumulator, nitrogen gas could leak from the brake pressure accumulator into the brake fluid and gradually cause the brake pedal stroke to become longer, resulting in decreased hydraulic pressure.

Risk Description
