Power sockets was recalled on 30 October 2009 under EU Safety Gate alert 1388/09. Electric shock risk reported by Spain. The products pose a risk of electric shock because:- the holes in the sockets are not sufficiently elastic to ensure appropriate contact pressure with the pins of the plugs,- the covers are not fastened at two points with a screw or other method.

Risk Description
The products pose a risk of electric shock because:- the holes in the sockets are not sufficiently elastic to ensure appropriate contact pressure with the pins of the plugs,- the covers are not fastened at two points with a screw or other method.The products do not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the national standard UNE 20315.

Product Description
Three different, individually wrapped, power sockets: one is a double socket, another has a cover and the other two are single sockets without a cover. They are individually presented in a transparent blister pack, the cardboard part of the packaging carries the brand, the statement "Made in P.R.C.", the CE mark and 16 A/250V. On the back of the packaging there are the importer's details, the CE mark, the brand and the barcode.
