Portable table lamp was recalled on 22 June 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0571/07. Electric shock risk reported by Czechia. This product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- insufficient cross section of internal and external wiring; - the supply conductor with basic insulation only can touch the accessible metal part; - the bulb socket is not secured against turning when bulb is replaced; - the parts intended to be hand-manipulated get overheated (external metal nut on the shield's surface); - instructions are missing, there is no instruction how to replace the supply cord.
