Portable luminaire for children was recalled on 13 July 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0676/07. Electric shock risk reported by Bulgaria. The toy poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- live parts of the lamp-head are accessible, - possible damage of the supplying cable due to lack of anchorage protecting from mechanical tension in case of cable’s extension and torsion,- there is no transformer for over low-voltage.

Risk Description
The toy poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- live parts of the lamp-head are accessible, - possible damage of the supplying cable due to lack of anchorage protecting from mechanical tension in case of cable’s extension and torsion,- there is no transformer for over low-voltage. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN-605908.

Portable luminary for children with ceramic basement in a shape of two light green frogs sitting on their back legs, on a base sized 170-180 mm facing a glass lampshade in a shape of white coloured sphere. Fundamental parts of the luminary: plug with inscription 6- 250V~; potentiometer- witch with inscription TIAO GUANG, 220V/110V, 50Hz/60Hz, W<100; supplying cable with inscription: 227 - 52(RVV), 300/300V, 2-0,5mm2. Technical characteristics: 220V, 60W, class II, lamp holder 27.
