The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- since the dimensions of the cross-section area of the core and the engagement face are smaller than required, there is no device effectively protecting against pulling, twisting or cracking,- an adequate discharge device is missing.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- since the dimensions of the cross-section area of the core and the engagement face are smaller than required, there is no device effectively protecting against pulling, twisting or cracking,- an adequate discharge device is missing. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product Description

The fluorescent lamp and the electronic ballast is located in a 41 cm long protected tube (diameter: 3 cm), with a hook fixed to one end. Marking on the product: Class II, symbol for indoor use and a non-standardized symbol for high voltage. Components: fluorescent lamp ("8W 220 V"), mains supply cable and connecting plug without marking. Technical specification: 220 V, 8 W, Class II.
