Risk Description
This product poses a risk of electric shock because of:- the absence of cord anchorage and a knot in the supply cord;- accessible live parts - the cover providing protection against electric shock is secured in place with a single snap in plastic pin, which is easily removed by a twisting action;- despite its splashproof/IP44 markings the luminary had a lack of any seals preventing harmful water ingress;- incorrect supply cord conductor cross sectional area marking - marked as 0.75 mm² whereas in fact it is 0.5 mm²;- incorrect supply cord specification - for IP44/spashproof applications should be 1 mm² whereas in fact it is 0.5 mm².This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard.
