Portable lamp
Portable lamp was recalled on 3 August 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0758/07. Burns, Electric shock risk reported by Poland. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock and burns because in the fitting spliced flexible wire conductors have been fully tinned and installed in terminals that do not ensure an elastic clamp, which may be a reason of falling out of the conductor from the terminal, and thus cause the decrease of the isolating clearances or a shock, as well as in case of loosening of the wire–terminal contact it could cause sparking and overheating of the contact.

Risk Description
The product poses a serious risk of electric shock and burns because in the fitting spliced flexible wire conductors have been fully tinned and installed in terminals that do not ensure an elastic clamp, which may be a reason of falling out of the conductor from the terminal, and thus cause the decrease of the isolating clearances or a shock, as well as in case of loosening of the wire–terminal contact it could cause sparking and overheating of the contact. Moreover the product and its packing contained contradictory information regarding the maximum power of a bulb – 40 W and 25 W respectively.This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and with the relevant European standard EN 60598.
