Risk Description

The suction cups can be easily detached. If a child puts the projectile in the mouth, the suction cup could detach and obstruct the airways. The kinetic energy of the projectiles, when hitting a person, is too high. This could cause injuries, especially to the eyes. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Product Description

The toy set consists of a black and brown rigid plastic gun with spring-loaded ejection mechanism, three black rigid plastic projectiles with orange polymeric suction cups at the ends, yellow foam holster, target of cardboard and black plastic.

Recommended action

Choking: Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer. Injuries: Stop using the product immediately. Check yourself and family members for any injuries. Store the product safely out of reach and contact the retailer or manufacturer for a replacement or refund.

Who is at risk?

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury.
