Plush toy was recalled on 28 June 2019 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/0935/19. Choking risk reported by Finland. Both products pose a risk of choking due to small part (plastic nose) which can be easily detached.

Risk Description

Both products pose a risk of choking due to small part (plastic nose) which can be easily detached. A child could put them in the mouth and choke on them.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the European Standard EN 71-1.

Product Description

White plush toy seals (sizes: small and medium) with plastic eyes and a nose. A cardboard label is attached to the toys. Toys also have a fabric information label in them.

This product contains small parts that can detach and pose a choking hazard, or its size and shape make it dangerous for young children if swallowed or placed in the mouth.

Recommended action

Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer.

Who is at risk?

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well.
