Risk Description
The safety gate is not sufficiently high: a child can climb over it and fall. Moreover, it can open unexpectedly due to an inadequate opening mechanism with the risk of a child falling down the stairs, and it has protruding corners where the garments of a child could get caught, causing strangulation. In addition there are gaps and holes where a child's fingers could be trapped.The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 1930.

Who is at risk?
Young children are most at risk of entrapment injuries. All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
