Plastic grapes was recalled on 27 May 2016 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/0647/16. Choking risk reported by Italy. Due to its characteristic form, colour and size the product may be mistaken for foodstuff.

Risk Description
Due to its characteristic form, colour and size the product may be mistaken for foodstuff. The grapes can be easily detached: children may put them in the mouth and choke on them. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Directive 87/357/EEC on products which, appearing to be other than they are, endanger the health or safety of consumers.

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well.
