Risk Description
The migration of lead from the toy is too high (measured value: 0.35 % by weight). Lead is harmful to children as it can lead to developmental neurotoxicity. It accumulates in the body and may also affect their future progeny when breast-fed or unborn. Moreover, the plastic material of the plastic balls has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)(measured values: 7.6 % by weight). DEHP may harm the health by causing possible damage to the reproductive system. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive nor with the REACH Regulation and the European standard EN 71-3.
