Peek-a-boo ball was recalled on 17 May 2013 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/0567/13. Choking risk reported by Sweden. The product poses a risk of choking because the wooden rings on the ball may come loose and the little pop-out faces may fall out of the toy.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of choking because the wooden rings on the ball may come loose and the little pop-out faces may fall out of the toy. As a result, these parts can be put in the mouth by small children, swallowed and get stuck in the throat blocking the airways. One incident reported.The product does not comply with the Toys Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Product Description

A blue, wooden pop-up ball intended for small children. It is packed in a colourful cardboard box marked with a picture of the toy. On the back of the box there is information in six different languages. Size 6 x 6 x 6 cm. The production date 4/9/2012 and batch number is also printed on the box.
