Risk Description

The housing of the auxiliary coolant pump may crack. If cracks occur, coolant may enter the pump electronics. This may lead to a failure of the auxiliary coolant pump. In a few rare cases there may be smouldering of the auxiliary coolant pump. If so, an engine compartment fire or even a vehicle fire cannot entirely be ruled out.
