Passenger car - steering gear needle was recalled on 16 May 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0523/08. Injuries risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a risk of injuries because there is a possibility that the needle bearing is missing from the steering shaft (J10 & T31) and the cover screw may not be correctly tightened (J10 only).

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of injuries because there is a possibility that the needle bearing is missing from the steering shaft (J10 & T31) and the cover screw may not be correctly tightened (J10 only). This may result in the cover screw loosening, resulting in free play and noise through the steering. Ultimately this could lead to a loss of steering.
