Risk Description
The product poses a risk of injuries because when the driver sequentially performs a quick, downward gear shift (e.g. high RPM, 6th to 5th to 4th gear, etc) during high-speed driving on the motorway (high engine load), the engine control unit (ECU) may judge the engine to be in “overrun”. To avoid engine damage, the ECU will then turn off the engine. In such a situation, greater force would be necessary to use the vehicle steering and braking systems.
