Risk Description

This product poses a serious risk of injuries because it is equipped with rear windscreen washer/wipers and water can work its way into the wiper motor via the wiper arm spindle. If the water contains salt, which is normal under winter driving conditions, it can result in a short circuit and cause the motor to fail. In extreme cases, the short circuit can result in the wiper assembly overheating. The increased temperature can be high enough to melt the trim components in the area of the motor assembly.
