Risk Description
The driver’s seat is equipped with a main seatbelt pretensioner and an additional pretensioner where the seatbelt is fastened. During an accident, the pretensioner of the final fitting is activated shortly after activation of the main pretensioner. In some isolated cases, this impulse may cause the buckle of the seatbelt to open unnecessarily. If this happens, the restraining action of the three-point safety belt is lost.
