Risk Description
The casing of the auxiliary coolant pump may crack. If this occurs, coolant can leak into the pump electronics. This can lead to failure of the auxiliary coolant pump. In a few individual cases, there may be smoulder damage to the auxiliary coolant pump. If this occurs, an engine compartment fire or even a vehicle fire could occur.
