Risk Description

The product poses a risk of injuries because the tyres fitted on the vehicles by the vehicle manufacturer have a tyre identification with the speed symbol “W” (270 km/h), in accordance with the maximum design speed of 236 or 238 km/h.Due to a control error, the Certificate of Conformity (COC) documents (sections 15.1 and 15.2) indicate the speed index “H” (for 210 km/h) for the tyre size. Speed symbol should be “W”.

The affected vehicles, which were manufactured between June 2008 and October 2008, have a 147kW 2.0 litre engine and a VIN in the range:WAU_ _ _8P_9A000869 to WAU_ _ _8P_9A056233.
