Pashmina-style scarf was recalled on 8 April 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0310/11. Chemical risk reported by Cyprus. The products pose a chemical risk because:a) the red scarf contains azodyes releasing 40 mg/kg of carcinogenic 4-aminobiphenyl and 400 mg/kg benzidine, andb) the blue scarf contains azodyes releasing 150 mg/kg of carcinogenic 3,3-Dimethoxybenzidine, 60 mg/kg of 3,3-Dimethylbenzidine; and 400 mg/kg benzidine.

The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
