Risk Description
For cars not equipped with ACC/FCM (Active Cruise Control / Forward Collision Mitigation system), the HMSL (High Mounted Stop Light) might permanently glow slightly when the lights are on. This potentially may lead to a road accident. For cars equipped with ACC/FCM, on the other hand, there is a risk that a malfunction in the stop light circuit will not be detected, causing a potential risk of incorrect functioning of the ASC system, which may lead to a road accident.
