Risk Description
The Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) system may under certain circumstances build up hydraulic pressure in the braking system. When this happens, the vehicle undergoes severe and sudden braking of up to some 8 m/s². Because there is no accompanying flash of brake lights, following vehicles may not recognise the situation until too late, or even not at all, leading to rear-end collisions.
