Night-light "Le Frou-Frou" was recalled on 25 March 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0274/11. Electric shock risk reported by Malta. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- there is no over current protection (no fuse);- the cover can be removed when the night-light is plugged into a mains socket outlet and live parts could consequently be touched;- the bulb can be touched when the night-light is plugged to the mains socket outlet without removing the cover.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- there is no over current protection (no fuse);- the cover can be removed when the night-light is plugged into a mains socket outlet and live parts could consequently be touched;- the bulb can be touched when the night-light is plugged to the mains socket outlet without removing the cover.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
