Night light 4" Nightlight “Giverney” was recalled on 29 April 2011 under EU Safety Gate alert 0384/11. Electric shock risk reported by United Kingdom. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the lamp and the cover can be removed whilst the nightlight is inserted into a socket outlet;- the insulation is inadequate as the creepage distances between live parts and the external enclosure is not sufficient;- there is no provision for a fuse, required to provide the nightlight with overcurrent protection.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the lamp and the cover can be removed whilst the nightlight is inserted into a socket outlet;- the insulation is inadequate as the creepage distances between live parts and the external enclosure is not sufficient;- there is no provision for a fuse, required to provide the nightlight with overcurrent protection.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
