Nail polish was recalled on 8 June 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0515/07. Chemical risk reported by Estonia. These products pose a chemical risk because they contain Dibutyl Phthalate (written on the list of ingredients), which is prohibited in cosmetics by the Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC.

Risk Description
These products pose a chemical risk because they contain Dibutyl Phthalate (written on the list of ingredients), which is prohibited in cosmetics by the Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC. Dibutyl Phthalate may cause harm to unborn children and pose a possible risk of impaired fertility. Phthalates have a negative effect on the development of reproductive organs.
