Risk Description

The strap of the toy drum has no quick release mechanism.If worn around the neck, it could form a loop and become trapped, leading to strangulation. The handle of some of the instruments is too long.A small child could put it in the mouth and choke.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

About this risk

Choking: This product contains small parts that can detach and pose a choking hazard, or its size and shape make it dangerous for young children if swallowed or placed in the mouth. Strangulation: This product contains cords, strings, loops, or other elements that can wrap around a child's neck and cause strangulation.

Recommended action

Choking: Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer. Strangulation: Remove the product from the child's environment immediately. Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
