Mobile phone charger was recalled on 5 September 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0966/08. Electric shock risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a serious risk of electric shock because:- the construction of the converter does not comply with the requirements for safe separation of primary winding from secondary winding,- clearances and creepage distances do not comply with the requirements for double insulation,- the length of the conductors enables by-passing of double insulation in the case of connector release, and a possibility of the presence of mains voltage on the exit connector,- the size of the plug does not comply with the requirements,- the product does not meet the requirements for reinforced insulation between output connector and mains plug for double insulation,- the product does not comply with the electromagnetic emission requirements.
