Mobile was recalled on 3 June 2016 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/0681/16. Choking, Cuts risk reported by Greece. All the rattles (except the fruit-shaped rattle), as well as the black plastic pieces attached to the end of the cord included in the outer hat, can easily break and generate small parts.

Risk Description

All the rattles (except the fruit-shaped rattle), as well as the black plastic pieces attached to the end of the cord included in the outer hat, can easily break and generate small parts. A small child could put them in the mouth and choke on them.Moreover, the head of the bear-shaped rattle and the handle of the rattle marked 'Happy Music' can obstruct the airways, causing a risk of choking.In addition, several of the rattles can easily break and expose children to sharp points and edges, possibly causing cuts.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

Product Description

A set of 8 multicoloured rattles in different shapes made from hard plastic. The rattles are packed in a transparent plastic bottle (approx. height: 22 cm) in the shape of a child with an orange face and hat that is screwed on to the top of the bottle.

This product contains small parts that can detach and pose a choking hazard, or its size and shape make it dangerous for young children if swallowed or placed in the mouth.

Recommended action

Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer.

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well.
