Risk Description
The product has long decorative cords/ribbons in the neck area. These drawstrings can become trapped during various activities of a child, leading to strangulation or injuries. Moreover, the easy unravelling of the material from which the ends of the hanging decorative cords/ribbons are made can generate small pieces. A small child may put these in the mouth and choke. The product does not comply with the General Product Safety Regulation nor with the European standard EN 14682.

Recommended action

Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.
Who is at risk?
Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well. All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
