Risk Description

The product poses a risk of burns due to the high flammability of the material of the hood. If the child wears the hood and it catches fire, the child may get burns mostly on the head and face. In addition, there are fixed loops in the hood and on the shoulders which can become trapped during various activities of the child, leading to injury or strangulation.The product does not comply with the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standards EN 71-2 and EN 14682.

About this risk

Burns: This product can cause burns due to overheating, faulty insulation, or flammable materials that ignite during use. Injuries: This product has a design or manufacturing defect that can cause physical injuries such as cuts, bruises, fractures, or other bodily harm during normal use. Strangulation: This product contains cords, strings, loops, or other elements that can wrap around a child's neck and cause strangulation.

Recommended action

Burns: Stop using the product immediately. If you have suffered burns, cool the area with running water and seek medical attention. Do not attempt to repair the product. Injuries: Stop using the product immediately. Check yourself and family members for any injuries. Store the product safely out of reach and contact the retailer or manufacturer for a replacement or refund. Strangulation: Remove the product from the child's environment immediately. Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

All users. Children and elderly people are particularly vulnerable to burn injuries. All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
