Mains adaptor
Mains adaptor was recalled on 15 February 2008 under EU Safety Gate alert 0175/08. Electric shock risk reported by Germany. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- live parts can be touched when the mains adaptor has not yet been fully inserted into the socket:- the two pins of the plug are not insulated, and are conductive and exposed along their entire length,- the same fault occurs when an earthing contact plug is inserted into the product;- it is possible to insert safety plugs, thereby disabling the protective conductor function.
