Risk Description
The fuse within the plug does not contain any granular filler. The filler is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating, catching fire and/or exploding. Moreover, the fuse had the copper wire looped over the edge and secured only by the end cap. The user could touch the wire and receive an electric shock The product does not comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive.
