Magic cube was recalled on 21 July 2017 under EU Safety Gate alert A11/0106/17. Suffocation risk reported by Spain. The plastic packaging for the cube is too thin: If a child plays with the packaging, the plastic can cover the mouth and nose, causing the child to suffocate.

Risk Description
The plastic packaging for the cube is too thin: If a child plays with the packaging, the plastic can cover the mouth and nose, causing the child to suffocate. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standards EN 71-1.
