Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because:- the plastic head of the doll contains 30-35 % by mass of di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP). - the plastic horse contains 29-35 % by mass of di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and 0.21-0.22 % by mass of dibutyl phthalate (DBP).- the plastic arms and legs of the doll contain 10-11 % by mass of dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and 0.30-0.32 % by mass of di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) . In addition, the horse contains 0.22-0.23 % by mass of diisononyl phthalate (DINP) and the plastic arms and legs contain 5.9-6.3 % by mass of diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP). According to the REACH Regulation the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.
