Lighting chain
Lighting chain was recalled on 19 January 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0051/07. Electric shock risk reported by Spain. This product poses a risk of electric shock because: - there is no guaranteed protection against direct access to live parts;- the characteristics of the lighting chain's cable do not match those specified in the standard, - the nominal cross-section of the conductors is 0,28mm², which is less than the 0,75mm² required by the standard;- the plug does not comply with standard;- the length of the cable between the plug and the first light-socket is 0,90 m, which is less than the 1,50m required by the standard;- it is not stated that the lighting chain must not be used unless all the gaskets are in place;- there is no mark of the degree of protection against dust and humidity on the lamp-holder or the cable or above a label attached to the cable.
