Lighting chain
Lighting chain was recalled on 13 January 2007 under EU Safety Gate alert 0021/07. Electric shock risk reported by Spain. This product poses a serious risk of electric shock due to the following non-compliances with the relevant European standard EN 60598:- the length of the wire between the plug and the first bulb holder is 1 m, which is less than the required 1,5 m;- the wire in the chain has inferior characteristics to those specified in the standard;- the nominal cross-section of the conductors is 0,36 mm², which is less than the required 50 mm²;- the required safety markings and instructions are missing.
