Lighting chain was recalled on 2 April 2010 under EU Safety Gate alert 0576/10. Electric shock, Fire risk reported by Spain. The product poses a risk of fire and electric shock because:- the insulation resistance is not sufficient;- the connections of the terminals are not adequate;- the cross-sectional area of the conductors is too small;- the cable is not adequately anchored;- there is no protection against damp conditions that may arise through normal use.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of fire and electric shock because:- the insulation resistance is not sufficient;- the connections of the terminals are not adequate;- the cross-sectional area of the conductors is too small;- the cable is not adequately anchored;- there is no protection against damp conditions that may arise through normal use. The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
