Lighting chain was recalled on 28 August 2009 under EU Safety Gate alert 1148/09. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the cross section area of the core is less than required, - the insulation of the lamps is insufficient thus flashover may occur, - the dimensions of the plug do not comply with the standard.

Risk Description

Product Description
The lighting chain includes 105 db series-connected non-replaceable lamps with resistor bridge and a bipolar socket outlet. Main components: plug (2.5 A 250 V~); socket outlet, mains cable without marking. Technical parameters: 230V ~, 50 Hz, Max. 16.5W; 2V, 0.07A, 0,14W; Class II.
