Lighting chain was recalled on 11 May 2012 under EU Safety Gate alert 0720/12. Electric shock risk reported by Spain. The product poses a risk of electric shock because the flashing unit is not securely fastened to the cable of the lighting chain, with the result that live wires may become detached and thus exposed.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because the flashing unit is not securely fastened to the cable of the lighting chain, with the result that live wires may become detached and thus exposed. The internal and external wiring, the insulation resistance and dielectric strength are also not appropriate.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598 and with the relevant national standard UNE 20315.
