Lighting chain "Christmas Light" was recalled on 10 February 2012 under EU Safety Gate alert 0248/12. Electric shock risk reported by Slovakia. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:·         The cover of the flashing device does not have sufficient mechanical strength;·         The cable is not properly attached to the flashing device;·         The cross-sectional area of the internal wires is not sufficient.

Risk Description

The product poses a risk of electric shock because:·         The cover of the flashing device does not have sufficient mechanical strength;·         The cable is not properly attached to the flashing device;·         The cross-sectional area of the internal wires is not sufficient.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product Description

Christmas lighting chain in the form of a shooting star with 60 replaceable lamps (red, green, orange, blue) equipped with a programme switch. Packed in a transparent bag with a label.
