The product poses a risk of electric shock because the 24V connector/plug fits into a similar 230V inlet and extension lead on 230V lighting chains from the same manufacturer and supplier.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because the 24V connector/plug fits into a similar 230V inlet and extension lead on 230V lighting chains from the same manufacturer and supplier. The electric insulation on the 24V lighting chain is so poor that it cannot resist 230V. Furthermore there are uninsulated parts on the 24V lighting chain.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
