Light fitting was recalled on 12 February 2010 under EU Safety Gate alert 0228/10. Electric shock risk reported by Hungary. The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the mains cable and the internal wiring can get damaged because they are in contact with sharp edges;- the terminal block is not properly fixed in position and accessible metal parts may come into contact with only basic insulated parts.

Risk Description
The product poses a risk of electric shock because:- the mains cable and the internal wiring can get damaged because they are in contact with sharp edges;- the terminal block is not properly fixed in position and accessible metal parts may come into contact with only basic insulated parts.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the relevant European standard EN 60598.

Product Description
Light fitting. Three non-adjustable metal brackets are fixed to a wooden plate, and a G9 lamp holder and a decorative cube is fitted to each bracket. There is a terminal block (marking: ATILIM ENEC14 ATL3 450V 24A ) on the other side of the wooden plate. Technical parameters: 230 V, 50 Hz, Class II, light source: 3xG9, maximum 40 W.
