Risk Description
The product poses a chemical risk because it contains azo dyes releasing 96 mg/kg of the aromatic amine o-anisidine (CAS No 90-04-0) which is a substance classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, toxic and sensitizing. In addition, it contains aromatic hydrocarbons such as styrene and alpha-methylstyrene which are also toxic.According to the Council of Europe Resolution ResAP (2008)1 on requirements and criteria for the safety of tattoos and permanent make-up' o-anisidine should not be present in tattoo ink.
