Risk Description
The amount of chromium (VI) found in the leather is too high (measured value 22.1 mg/kg). Chromium (VI) is sensitising and might trigger allergic reactions. Moreover, it contains azo-dyes releasing the aromatic amine benzidine (measured concentration 39.4 mg/kg). When the product is in direct and prolonged contact with the skin, this aromatic amine may be absorbed by the skin. Aromatic amines can cause cancer, cell mutations and affect reproduction.The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation.
