Risk Description
The vehicles' electronic control unit (ECU) has been improperly programmed and the throttle is not coordinated with the transmission and gear changes. As a consequence, when accelerating in highway driving mode, the hybrid system could shut down, causing a loss of power, which can increase the risk of accidents.
