Risk Description

The transparent plastic of the packaging contains an excessive amount of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), cadmium and short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured values up to 26, 0.039 and 0.53 % by weight, respectively).DEHP may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system. SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bioaccumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Cadmium poses a risk to the environment. The product does not comply with the REACH Regulation and the Regulation on persistent organic pollutants (POP Regulation).
