Risk Description

The sweatshirts have drawstrings with free ends in the area of the neck or on the bottom edge of the back. The drawstrings could become trapped during various activities of a child.The product does not comply with the relevant European standard EN 14682.

About this risk

Recommended action

Injuries: Stop using the product immediately. Check yourself and family members for any injuries. Store the product safely out of reach and contact the retailer or manufacturer for a replacement or refund. Strangulation: Remove the product from the child's environment immediately. Cut any cords or strings if they cannot be safely removed. Never leave children unsupervised with products that have loose cords.

Who is at risk?

All users, particularly children and elderly people who may be more vulnerable to injury. Infants and young children are at the highest risk of strangulation from cords, strings, and loops.
