Key-ring was recalled on 21 December 2018 under EU Safety Gate alert A12/1915/18. Choking risk reported by Bulgaria. Due to its characteristic form, colour, appearance, volume and size, it is likely that consumers will confuse the product with foodstuff and, in consequence, place it in the mouth.

Risk Description

Due to its characteristic form, colour, appearance, volume and size, it is likely that consumers will confuse the product with foodstuff and, in consequence, place it in the mouth.Parts of the keyring can easily detach. A small child might choke on the loose parts.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Food Imitating Products Directive.

Recommended action

Remove the product from children immediately. Check if any small parts are missing. If a child has swallowed a part, seek medical attention immediately. Return the product to the retailer.

Children under 3 years old are at highest risk. Supervise older children as well.
