Risk Description
The product poses a risk of fire because under certain circumstances the first bi-metal plate malfunctions, the heating time increases and it can catch fire. Given its position, the second bi-metal plate does not blow until the temperature reaches around 240C°, allowing the plastic of the temperature-limit thermostat to melt into two slots provided. Several fire incidents reported.The product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335.
